The handle is comfortable and stable, making it easy to hold firmly in your hand while sharpening, or against a counter top. The knife should be sharpened at an approximate 22 degree angle to get the best sharpen. Simply pull the knife towards you against the rod and repeat until knife is sharp. The sharpening rod also has a convenient hanging hook that makes it easy to store.
