Product Description
It takes a fine Ceylon black loose leaf tea, with Indian spices like Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cumin, Coriander, Curry leaves, lemon Grass, and Fenugreek to capture the flavors of Indian Chai Tea. Combine that with the depth of natural mocha flavors and you get our wonderful blend of Mumbai Mocha Chai Tea.
When you get this tea, as with other Chai teas, be sure to turn the stand up pouch upside down to get the fine spices to blend into the teas, as during shipping and storage they can tend to settle on the bottom of the bag. Chai is best served with milk. In India and South Asian countries Chai is often made in milk, without any water at all as well. Bring milk to a boil, add in your preferred amount of tea, and let is simmer for a few minutes to taste.

How to Steep Loose Leaf Tea
- Step 1: Remove the silicone cap and and wire-mesh infusion basket. Fill the basket with 1-2 teaspoons of tea leaves.
- Step 2: Remove the black outer lid and fill the teapot with hot water.
- Step 3: Replace the black lid, infusion basket, and silicone cap. Allow tea to steep for 1-7 minutes depending on preference and variety of tea (see below for a list of steeping times).
- Step 4: Remove the silicone cap and infusion basket to keep your tea from steeping further, and replace them to prevent spills. Enjoy your delicious cup of tea!
Tea Steeping Times
- Green: 1-2 minutes
- Black: 3-5 minutes
- White and Oolong: 4-6 minutes
- Tisane: 5-7 minutes
