GROSCHE delivers premium coffee, tea, drinkware, and more at a great value. Putting our "full flavour philosophy" first, every GROSCHE product is designed with you in mind.
The GROSCHE Valencia in Purple is a beautiful and convenient personal infuser teapot, offering just the right size and features to make your tea experience one to remember. What is a tea infuser? A tea infuser in a mesh basket or mesh ball that holds tea leaves to be steeped. The Valencia has a great teapot design with a built in stainless steel tea infuser for your convenience. Steeping loose leaves is undoubtedly the best way to make tea- not only can you control the depth and intensity of your drink, but you will get a full picture of flavour as opposed to using a tea bag.
Valencia features a 100% borosilicate glass beaker, held secure by a food-grade silicone handle with a metal band and a non-slip base. Borosilicate glass is superior to soda-lime because it is highly heat-resistant; you can pour boiling water into the beaker without worry about thermal shock. Of course, anything that touches your drink is both BPA and lead-free.
Your loose leaf tea is steeped through a stainless-steel wire mesh basket; thousands of tiny holes allow the hot water to reach every nook and cranny of the leaves, extracting its full essence. GROSCHE uses only the highest-quality stainless steel in our products, and it will not rust or change the flavor of your drink. A second filter is integrated with the lid, which prevents any accidental tea leaves from sneaking into your mug.
Valencia also has a chrome-topped inner silicone cap that allows you to remove the infusion basket once your tea has finished steeping. The basket itself has a fold-down handle which makes this process as simple as can be. This convenient feature keeps your drink from getting too strong, and makes it easy to add leaves after allowing your water to cool below boiling (such as with green tea).
Last, the spout is specially shaped for easy pouring, and prevents dripping after you've filled your glass.
Do note that in extreme cases it is possible to crack borosilicate glass from thermal shock. For example, pouring boiling liquid from the vessel and immediately submerging it in cold water may cause damage.
