The GROSCHE Vienna is a funky teapot that will win you over with its unique and beautiful six-sided, hand-blown glass body! With a custom extra-tall glass infuser and matching lid, the Vienna can't help but take center stage at any table setting. Steeping loose leaf or infusing a tea bloom is far superior to the bagged 'leftovers', and this teapot is the perfect way to create a memorable and relaxing experience.

Vienna features a 100% borosilicate glass body, with large panels that give a clear view of your infusing or blooming tea. Borosilicate glass is superior to soda-lime because it is highly heat-resistant; you can pour boiling water into the pot without worry about thermal shock. Of course, anything that touches your drink is both BPA and lead-free.

Your loose leaf tea is steeped through an all glass infuser; thin slots in the bottom allow the hot water to reach every nook and cranny of the leaves, extracting its full essence without dropping leaves into the pot. At GROSCHE, the flavour of your tea is our highest priority- our glass is completely inert, and will not impart any unwanted residue into your drink.

The lid for the Vienna will fit whether the infuser has been removed or not; therefore, the clean lines and eye-catching design will remain even after you've finished steeping your tea. The wide base makes this particular glass teapot especially secure, and a large ergonomic handle means filling your glass just-right is a snap.

Do note that in extreme cases it is possible to crack borosilicate glass from thermal shock. For example, pouring boiling liquid from the vessel and immediately submerging it in cold water may cause damage.

We do not recommend using the Vienna Infuser Teapot on the stove top. Boil water in a kettle and pour hot water into the teapot. Teapot is not for microwave use.

Tea Steeping Times and Temperatures

• Green: 1-2 minutes – steep at 180 – 200F
• Black: 3-5 minutes – steep at 212F
• White and Oolong: 4-6 minutes – steep at 180 – 200F
• Tisane: 5-7 minutes – steep at 212F

Brewing Loose Leaf Tea

• Heat desired amount of water in a kettle (temperatures depend of type of tea). Glass teapots should not be used on the stovetop.
• Add 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea per cup of water to your teapot.
• Pour the heated water over the loose tea leaves into the teapot
• Let tea steep. Tea steeping times differ between teas.

Care

• Hand wash all parts with soap and warm water. While parts are dishwasher safe, other items may knock into them cause damage.
• Wipe down the body with a slightly damp cloth as needed, and dry with a soft dish towel.
