It is made of high quality borosilicate glass that is safe for use with hot water. The glass is guaranteed for life against clouding. It is also lead free glass, like all Grosche Glass products. Borosilicate glass is lighter, yet stronger than regular cheap silica glass that commercial glassware is made of.

Care
Although the infuser is dishwasher safe, other items knocking into it in a dishwasher could cause breakage. Always load carefully, and handle with care. However, hand-washing is highly recommended.
